Stony Brook University’s Program in Art History, Theory and Criticism invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in early 20th century European art. We are especially interested in scholars working at the intersection of visual art and performance, as well as those exploring the impact of the historical avant-garde outside of Europe.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate classes and graduate seminars, advise MA, MFA and PhD candidates, and support the interdisciplinary Art and Philosophy program at Stony Brook’s Manhattan campus.
