Job - University Lecturership (Non-Tutorial Fellowship) in Contemporary Art History and Theory. University of Oxford (Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in association with St Edmund Hall)
Salary (if applicable) £42,563 – £57,201
The University of Oxford proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Contemporary Art History and Theory in association with St Edmund Hall.
The appointment will run from l October 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will be held in tandem with the position of Head of the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art for three years in the first instance. The successful applicant will hold a doctorate, or have equivalent related research experience, in a field related to contemporary art history and theory.
S/he will be an art historian or critic with a substantial record of high quality research and publication, an established international reputation, and a proven ability to help debate, construct and redefine the realm of artistic practice. S/he must have excellent communication and organizational skills. The person appointed may be offered a Fellowship by Special Election at St Edmund Hall.
