Voluntary Work Fund 2010
The AAH Voluntary Work Fund is an annual funding scheme that offers funding to students on placements or internships within the UK. Individuals are currently entitled to up to £500 for 6 weeks or 80 days voluntary work. Funding applications are assessed in June each year. Successful 2010 applicants will be notified before the end of June and reports will appear in Bulletin and online in the future.
Application deadline: 31 May 2010.
Reports from successful 2009 work fund applicants appear in Bulletin 102, and can be downloaded from here. These reports provide an excellent overview of the wide range of placements and internships we have been able to support through the fund.
John Fleming Travel Award 2010
Laurence King Publishing offers this annual award of £2,000 in memory of the art historian John Fleming. The aim of this award is to enable students to travel as a means of assisting or furthering their research. The award looks to encourage a better understanding of the arts from around the world.
Students wishing to apply for this award must be enrolled in a UK university at the time of submitting an application and at the time of travel. Click on the above link for guidelines and application form.

AAH Student Dissertation Prize 2008-2009

The AAH Prize for Dissertations submitted in Academic Year 2008-2009 is now closed for applications. The full appliaction details for 2009-2010 Dissertations will be posted in due course.
2009-2010 Dissertation Prize application deadline: 1st December 2010
Winners of the Student Dissertation Prize 2007-2008 were:
- BA Dissertation winner , Jack Hartnall (Courtauld Institute) for his essay, 'Beware of the God: Humour and Possible Apotropaic Function in a Sculpture from Herculaneum'
- MA Dissertation winner, Marie Palin, (The Open University) for her essay, Bellmer’s Poupées, Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and their Subversion of Female Gender Stereotypes in Interwar Germany
In addition, the following applications were highly commended:
