Lecturer in Contemporary Art

The University of Bristol invites applications to a permanent lectureship (Lecturer B) in contemporary art and visual culture.

Bristol has a national reputation as a centre of contemporary art with institutions such as Situations, Arnofini, Spike Island, etc. together with a vibrant street art and pop-up exhibition culture. Engagement in contemporary visual culture will complement the work of colleagues working in art history in the modern period and across the Faculty in Digital Humanities, Black Humanities and Performance Practices. However, candidates who can demonstrate excellence in research and teaching specialising in the contemporary period in all geographical areas are invited to apply.
