AAH2012 Conference and Bookfair will take place at The Open University, Walton Hall Campus in Milton Keynes.

Conference Registration
Registration will take place at Walton Hall campus in the Hub foyer, on the ground floor. All pre-paid delegates must register to pick up their conference pack, conference programme and delegate pass. Delegates must pay to attend the conference. Details of conference fees are available online.Registration will take place:

Luggage Storage
Limited temporary storage will also be available by Registration Desk (day time only).
Accommodation
The Open University does not have on-campus halls of residence, therefore a range of local hotel options have been made available for delegates. All accommodation must be arranged and booked in advance by the delegates themselves. For further information about where and how to book click here.
Food
Conference Dinner, 8.00pm Thursday 29th March
Delegates are invited to attend a Conference Dinner on the evening of Thursday 29 March. Click here for more information and to book a place. Please note that evening dining options on campus are very limited.
Lunch and Refreshments
Lunch and Refreshments: Packed lunches will be provided for delegates Friday and Saturday. Tea and coffee will be available during the morning and/or afternoon breaks throughout all three days. Lunch and refreshments will be served in the Hub (Gymnasium) beside the Bookfair.
Travel
Walton Hall Campus is located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. It easily accessible by train, car, plane or coach. The nearest train station is Milton Keynes (4.5 miles). A shuttle bus service from the station to the campus will be in place for AAH conference delegates (see times below). Alternatively, get a taxi from the train station to the campus (ask to be dropped at Walton Hall) The taxi journey will cost £10. The bus and coach station is opposite Milton Keynes train station. Delegates traveling from abroad are advised to fly to (Luton, Heathrow or Gatwick). Trains from London depart from London Euston every 15 mins and the direct journey takes 35 minutes on the fast train. There is no allocated car parking for AAH conference delegates, therefore, those wishing to travel by car can either park at their hotel or use campus parking, taking care to adhere to the parking regulations. Buses from the station arrive/leave from the concourse close to the station exit, however the area is being redeveloped and delegates may have to cross the plaza to reach buses on the main approach road. Leave the station by the main exit and walk straight across the area in front. Buses from the OU arrive/leave from the bus stops on St Michael’s Drive. The bus company is Souls. Their buses are gold in colour. There will be a sign in the front window of each coach saying either 'OU' or 'AAH conference'.
AV and Printing
We expect everyone to use Powerpoint (compatible with Microsoft Office 2007, NOT 'docx' format). Each room will contain a laptop, data projector and screen. Additional technical requirements, if not already confirmed with the Conference Administrator, must be emailed to aah2012@aah.org.uk by 20th March 2012. Speakers should bring their presentation on 2 different formats: memory stick and CD. Speakers bringing Mac laptops must bring their Mac cables with them to plug into the data projector. WIFI access will be available at designated ‘hot spots’ throughout the conference venue but there will not be access to a printer or photocopier. Please note that slide projectors will not be available or supported in any of the sessions.

General
Please note that there are no cash points on the OU campus. There are cash point machines in Milton Keynes station. Delegates going on particular visits may also be advised to bring appropriate footwear for walking around gardens and estates.
